Here are the summaries of our ongoing bible study exploration of the letter to the Hebrews.
Hebrews 1:1–2:14
- Main Point: God has revealed His glorious salvation most completely through His suffering Son, more completely than even His previous messengers.
- Purpose: Pay very close attention, rather than neglect, God’s great salvation for us through His Son.
Hebrews 3:1–4:13
- Main Point: God longs for us to enter His eternal rest through the more glorious Jesus, which can be hindered by disobedient unbelief.
- Purpose: Strive to enter God’s eternal rest by exhorting one another to hold fast our confidence in Christ, so that we may not be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin, unbelief, and disobedience.
- Situation: The Jewish Christians are tempted to trust the lesser Mosaic law in place of the greater Christ.
Blessings,
To Live is Christ
