2 Thessalonians 1:1–12

• Main Point: Present suffering accords with the Gospel of Christ, until He returns in glory for righteous judgement.
• Purpose: Glorify God by resolving to goodness amid suffering.

2 Thessalonians 2:1–16

• Main Point: The day of the Lord is still in the future and the lawless one will eventually be overthrown.
• Purpose: Keep to the faithful teachings and traditions from God’s Word through Paul’s ministry.

2 Thessalonians 3:1–18

• Main Point: The Lord is faithful and will strengthen and protect His people.
• Purpose: Do not be idle, but work quietly in your own life, to advance the Lord’s work.
